Texas Freedom Academy is a Christian private school.
The idea and concept of the academy was formed through experience and prayer, through which God led us to take a step of faith and create this unique school. Our intent is to provide family freedom as we partner with parents to “Train up a child in the way they should go, trusting with age they will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6; ESV). We have a Bible class as an elective, however every subject is taught from a Christian worldview based in scripture.
We acknowledge that we are unique and different. You will not find an exhaustive list of faith facts and beliefs on our website. Our list of priorities begins with: 1) Student Safety, and 2) Provide a Quality Education.
If you are looking for God on our list of priorities you will find that He is the letterhead upon which our priorities are written. The curriculum designed for your child may be Christian and/or secular at the discretion of the educational specialists working with Texas Freedom Academy. Our focus is on delivering the best education possible. Sometimes that means incorporating secular resources – but you can be assured that everything your student learns will be under the umbrella of faith, love, and the grace of God.
Every staff member at TFA believes and adheres to a distinct and strict statement of faith and beliefs. If TFA becomes your school of choice, your student will be taught Judeo-Christian values and concepts. This is a non-negotiable on our end and we understand that TFA may not be the right fit for everyone. We also know that we will be the perfect fit for those who are supposed to be in our care.
We do not require students or parents to profess or adhere to our statement of faith. However, we believe that honesty and transparency are foundational for a solid learning environment. If we are to partner with parents, all parties need to be clear on policy, procedure, curriculum and expectations. We love our families!
Jesus said the most important commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. He then added the second is to love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus expanded on who our “neighbor” is in Luke 10:29. God wants us to regard everyone as a neighbor regardless of race, nationality or social class (Luke 10:30-37). We agree.
