Statement of Faith
- The Bible We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of God, without error in the original writings. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith, doctrine, and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21)
- God We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—co-equal, co-eternal, and of the same essence. (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
- Jesus Christ We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; in His miracles; in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and in His personal, visible return in power and glory. (John 1:1–14; Isaiah 7:14; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11)
- Humanity and Sin We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, but through disobedience fell into sin, incurring physical and spiritual death. All people are sinful by nature and by choice and are therefore under God’s just condemnation apart from salvation in Christ. (Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1–3)
- Salvation We believe that salvation is the gift of God by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for salvation. Justification is based solely on the finished work of Christ, received by faith, not by works. (Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 3:5; John 3:16; Romans 5:1)
- The Holy Spirit We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a godly life and is gifted for service in the body of Christ. (John 14:16–17; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11)
- The Church and Ordinances We believe in the universal Church, the body of Christ, composed of all true believers. We also affirm the importance of the local church and the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper as symbols of faith and obedience. (Matthew 28:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26; Ephesians 4:4–6)
This statement is not exhaustive of all biblical truth, but it represents the foundational beliefs to which our school community subscribes. The Bible remains the final authority for all faith and practice.
If you are looking for God on our list of priorities you will find that He is the letterhead upon which our priorities are written. Our focus is on delivering the best education possible and everything your student learns will be under the umbrella of faith, love, and the grace of God.
Every staff member at TFA believes and adheres to our statement of faith and beliefs. If TFA becomes your school of choice, your student will be taught Judeo-Christian values and concepts. This is a non-negotiable on our end and we understand that TFA may not be the right fit for everyone. We also know that we will be the perfect fit for those who are supposed to be in our care.
We do not require students or parents to profess or adhere to our statement of faith. However, we believe that honesty and transparency are foundational for a solid learning environment. If we are to partner with parents, all parties need to be clear on policy, procedure, curriculum and expectations. We love our families!
Jesus said the most important commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. He then added the second is to love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus expanded on who our “neighbor” is in Luke 10:29. God wants us to regard everyone as a neighbor regardless of race, nationality or social class (Luke 10:30-37). We agree.
